More than a jar of curry paste ❤️
Over the weekend we shared a post on social media that came straight from the heart — that there's something quietly powerful about choosing to buy from a small batch producer like us. We have been thinking a lot lately about what this little curry business means to us and we wanted to take a moment here, on our little corner of the internet, to say something more.
When you seek us out — at a market on a rainy morning, or online when a cheap supermarket version is often easy to grab off the shelf — you are doing something that goes beyond the transaction. You're saying you care about what goes into your food — and also who puts it there.
We don't use shortcuts. Every single batch of our curry paste is blended from scratch, with fresh ingredients we source with care. That takes time. It takes consistency and dedication, and honestly, it takes a sprinkle of stubbornness — a refusal to cut corners just because we could.
Every jar you buy is a quiet revolutionary vote for the way we believe food should be made. It's what makes the early mornings and the long market days worth it. It's what makes us want to show up and do it again, and to keep doing it better.
Running a small food manufacturing business is not easy. There are weeks when the rain doesn't stop, the crowds don't come and the online orders slow down to a trickle. When the big supermarket brands are right there at eye level, convenient and cheap it would be so much easier for you choose differently. But still, you seek us out. Still, you choose us.
That means .... everything.
So thank you! From the bottom of our hearts. For supporting real people who are pouring real effort into something we love. You're not just buying curry paste. You're part of how this story keeps going. Manufactiring and market life is very challenging at the moment. Weather, economics, global events...you name it - we are feeling all the feels. We want the story to keep going and your support is keeping us going.
With lots of love and gratitude,
Sam and Alice
