Our Story

From the very beginning on the Sunshine Coast in 2002, we've grown into something pretty special. What started as a passion for authentic, clean, wholesome flavours, has blossomed into a tight-knit community of food lovers who feel more like family than customers, because good food is always better when it's shared with people you care about.

Where it all started

Born from a passion for fresh, authentic flavour

Life's Good Curry Pastes was born from a simple passion: sharing the fresh, authentic flavours Sam, Alice & family discovered travelling through South East Asia, India and Europe. Back home on the Sunshine Coast, that passion became jars.

Every paste made by hand from completely natural ingredients, gluten free and dairy free, with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. The whole idea was to make a genuinely good curry as easy as opening a jar, without cutting one corner on flavour.

In 2026, Sam & Alice have passed to torch to the Morris Family. Loving teaching us all their recipes as well as a few tip and tricks in the kitchen. Ev and the team will be carrying the flavours forward with care and consistency.

  1. Where it began 2002

    Born on the Sunshine Coast

    Sam and Alice Caines start Life's Good, bottling the fresh, authentic flavours they fell in love with while travelling through South East Asia, India and Europe. Made by hand, gluten free, dairy free, nothing artificial.

  2. Building a following 2002-2020

    A market-stall favourite

    The range grows into Thai Chilli Jam, the Chilli Hero Sambal and some seasonal additions - Back then You'd find Sam at the markets most weekends, from Eumundi to the Caloundra Street Fair, with jars heading home right across Australia.

  4. Today 2026

    A new chapter, exciting times!

    Alice and Sam made the decision to "retire" from Curry life in 2025 and advertised their business for sale. In June 2026, Lifes Good curry pastes safely and smoothly passed to the Morris Family. Evan, Nick & Mel are so excited to continue the amazing work Sam & Alice started all those years ago.

So who's looking after Life's Good now? Fat Wren Farm is a family business that started back in 2007 and has grown into an award-winning maker of handcrafted preserves: jams, chutneys, relishes, sauces and balsamics, all Australian made in small batches.

These days they cook on the Sunshine Coast, the same corner of the world Life's Good calls home, which is a big part of why this felt right. Same values, same hands-on, small-batch way of doing things, same belief in real ingredients and nothing artificial.
